Your tasks

Do you want to do more than just write code—do you want to break down barriers and create real value?

Eye-Able is a rapidly growing scale-up with over 150 employees and offices in Würzburg, Leipzig, London, Milan, Barcelona, Amsterdam, and other locations. We are the market leader in digital accessibility and help our clients embrace and implement digital accessibility.

With our innovative software solutions, we ensure that websites are accessible to everyone—thereby fulfilling both a legal requirement and a societal need. We’re at the forefront of artificial intelligence and are pushing the boundaries of what’s currently technically possible—both in our development and in our products.

We develop our own AI-powered WCAG tests that automate accessibility checks that previously could only be performed manually—and we make our platform’s capabilities available via a custom-built MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, enabling AI models to work directly with Eye-Able. Everything is deployed via Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions pipelines with automatic preview deployments per pull request.

Your primary responsibilities will include expanding features in our dashboard and API, developing these new AI tests, and enhancing our existing products such as Plain Language, Translation, Web Crawling, and many others.

We primarily work in a TypeScript monorepo. On the front end, we use React with Vite and Tailwind; on the back end, we use a Bun runtime. In addition, we have other TypeScript projects/jobs that are deployed as Docker containers.

Here’s what you can expect from this role:
  • Independent development and ownership of new projects
  • Design and implementation of new products in our dashboard
  • Expansion of the existing API
  • Orchestration of the existing IT infrastructure (Kubernetes, databases, servers, etc.)
  • Expansion of quality assurance and automated testing pipelines
  • Collaboration with the team on new and existing projects

Your profile

  • You have several years of professional experience (4 years or more) in web development
  • Ideally, you have a basic understanding of DevOps, including databases, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • You have an eye for UI/UX and may even have some initial experience with Figma or Claude Design (or similar software)
  • On-the-job learning. You’re eager to learn and can teach yourself new topics independently.
  • You enjoy taking on projects independently and feel comfortable collaborating in remote teams
  • You’re comfortable working with the latest AI models and methodologies
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • As a bonus: You have a basic understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)
